Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has called on the National Assembly to step in and address the ongoing security challenges in the state.
The Governor made this appeal during an event in the Birinin Magaji/Nauran Namoda federal constituency on Friday.
Governor Lawal, speaking to federal lawmakers present at the event, urged them to urgently intervene and work towards finding a lasting solution to the pervasive security issues affecting the entire state. He emphasized the severity of the security challenges and stressed the need for prompt action.
“As some federal lawmakers are here in Birnin Magaji and have seen it themselves, I want to appeal for urgent intervention. When you go back, deliberate on the issue at the National Assembly to end the persistent security challenges affecting my state,” Governor Lawal pleaded.
The Governor reiterated that addressing security concerns is a collective responsibility that transcends political affiliations.
He urged individuals from all political parties to set aside their differences and unite in the effort to combat and resolve the security problems faced by the state.
“I urge all individuals, irrespective of political parties, to forget about our political differences. Whether you are in PDP, APC, or any other political party, come and let us join forces to rescue the state from its present predicament of insecurity,” Governor Lawal emphasized.
